Weather Delay/Closing
We generally follow Carmel Clay schools for inclement weather situations. If Carmel closes, we will also be closed. If Carmel delays for 2 hours, we will have a one-hour delay. If Carmel switches to E-learning, we will generally close, as many of our staff will need to be home with their own children. Please check our Facebook or Instagram page (links are below) for information on inclement weather days and be sure to check back in case conditions worsen or Carmel changes their plan.
About Us
Pilgrim Lutheran Church Preschool and Parents’ Time Out is a non-profit organization operated under the umbrella of Pilgrim Lutheran Church and offers children from our congregation and the community a place to grow and to be nurtured. Parents' Time Out is for children under the age of two (by August 1st). The preschool classes are for children who are two, three, four, and five-year olds (by August 1st)
The primary objective of Pilgrim Lutheran Preschool and Parents’ Time Out is to encourage the optimum development of each child, intellectually, socially, physically, and emotionally.
Our teachers provide a Christian atmosphere for learning.
Fees
A Registration fee of $85 per family is collected at time of registration.
Supply fees are due May 1st, 2025, and are as follows:
Toddlers - $75
1 day Twos - $80
2 day Twos - $90
2 day Threes - $105
3 day Threes - $115
3 day Fours - $120
4 day Fours - $145
4 day Fives - $145
2025-2026 Tuition: (10 payments, August - May)
1 day Toddlers - $115/month
Monday Twos - $115/month
2 day Twos - $180/month
2 day Threes- $180/month
3 day Threes - $240/month
3 day Fours - $240/month
4 day Fours - $305/month
4 day Fives - $305/month
Early Bird and Extended Day
We offer Early Bird drop-off at 8:00 a.m. ($10). Extended Day is until 2:30 ($15) or 3:30 p.m. ($20), and is available for children in a two years old class or older, and is available almost every day we are in session (Sorry, toddlers are not able to participate in these programs)!
We do not accept credit cards at this time.
Objectives and Curriculum
The primary objective of Pilgrim Lutheran Preschool and Parents’ Time Out is to encourage the optimum development of each child, intellectually, socially, physically, and emotionally.
- Develop self-identity and view oneself as having worth and competence.
- Realize opportunities to strive and succeed.
- Sharpen and widen language skills: vocabulary growth (to increase active and passive language use).
- To match and label, to understand that printed symbols have meaning.
- Listening and speaking skills - develop ability to listen attentively, to follow directions, to reproduce and remember sounds.
- Increase visual and auditory discrimination.
- Wonder and seek answers to questions.
- Learn to live effectively with others, to value one's own rights and the rights of others.
- Develop and strengthen skills: eye-hand coordination, gross and fine motor capabilities.
- Grow in ability to channel inner impulses, turn aggression into constructive effort, and understand the difference between feeling angry and acting angry.
- Relate to peers and adults other than parents.
- Move bodies into different position through physical education activities.
- Experience and reflect love.
